This amp was one of my favorites. I took a Roadster amp, which is much like a Wreck Rocket, which is basically the top boost channel from a Vox AC-30. I’ve modified the circuit by adding reverb then flipped the whole thing upside down to create a small combo amp.
I did all this to create a great gigging amp for a friend that was working to get established in Nashville. James Carothers was a local kid that played in a band with one of my kids and has since moved on to create a name for himself in music city. I built this amp for him and it has seen a lot of venues and traveled a lot of miles.

This is the only Roadster amp that I built using replacement VOX AC-30 transformers.

I added one of my “Power Broker” attenuator units which allows a user to turn the amp volume up and push the tubes a little harder but still keep the volume level down.

This turned out to be one of the best looking and sounding amps I ever put together.

I’ve got a lot more amps to add eventually. Meanwhile I plan to keep adding to the documentation on the ones list here and provide all the details for those that have an interest in them.
